About Us

Herefordshire is located just south of the West Midlands, sandwiched between the county of Worcestershire to its east with its western border nestling along the breathtaking Brecon Beacons in Wales.

Steeped in tradition, dripping with history and overflowing with a wealth of picturebox black and white villages, Herefordshire’s rolling countryside comes alive at every turn.
Whether it’s the postcard view of Ross-on-Wye to the south, the traditional market towns of Bromyard and Leominster further north, or the uniqueness of Ledbury tucked away in the shadow of the Malvern Hills, the sights and sounds of Herefordshire will leave a lasting impression.

In the city of Hereford the majestic Cathedral dominates the skyline and for many centuries has kept a watchful eye on the River Wye as it meanders southwards.

Business and commerce need transport and communication links to survive and thrive. These exist, but they’re not obtrusive. Behind the tranquil peace which exudes from every nook and cranny lies the county’s motorways, rail inks, and an ever-growing communication infrastructure.

Railway stations at Hereford, Leominster and Ledbury provide regular services to all major cities in the UK - London can be reached in just over two hours by high speed train.

The M5, M50 and nearby M4 provide excellent access to the UK - London is only a two-hour drive away and you can be at Birmingham Airport in about an hour.

As well as supporting a huge agricultural economy, Herefordshire boasts a raft of well known businesses on its well-supported industrial estates, which provide jobs for locals and support the local economy.

Among these are cider makers HP Bulmers Ltd, formed back in 1887, Sun Valley Foods, Ross-on-Wye based Rehau, with a product line which runs into tens of thousands and BT with its Madley International Communication Centre linking the rural heart of the county with the global hi-tech highway.

The county also balances the old with the new when it comes to shopping - all the latest high street names are there - but you won’t find them closeted in massively overgrown shopping centres. The shops are dotted around the cobbled heart of historic Hereford City and scattered among the county’s market towns.
